Bangalore, India, May 30 (EFE/EPA).- On Friday, the annual mango festival opened at Lalbagh Botanical Garden in Bangalore, India, drawing crowds of customers eager to buy the seasonal fruit. Organised by the Karnataka State Department of Horticulture and KSMDMC, the month-long event showcases around 80 mango varieties. This year’s harvest, however, has been affected by weather and pest challenges. Early rains delayed mango flowering, while high temperatures during fruit-setting and pest infestations contributed to lower yields. (Camera: JAGADEESH NV).
