London (UK), Mar 5 (EFE).- The golden glow of the splendorous Sienese sacred art of the first half of the fourteenth century dazzles from Wednesday the National Gallery in London, which exhibits more than a hundred works by four key artists of a movement that transcended the borders of the Italian city. In 'Siena: the rise of painting, 1300-1350', the British gallery brings together works by Duccio, Simone Martini, and the brothers Pietro and Ambroggio Lorenzetti, precursors of an innovative painting at a time when the heart of the Church left Italy to move to the French city of Avignon (south).
