Tokyo, Jun 5 (EFE/EPA).- The Nintendo Switch 2 console launched globally Thursday amid soaring demand, with pre-order stock already sold out in Japan and high expectations surrounding the device’s potential to match the runaway success of its predecessor. Around a hundred people lined up outside the Bic Camera electronics store in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro district at opening time, hoping to claim one of the units distributed in Japan exclusively through a lottery system.
