Power gradually returns to Cannes after five-hour blackout
Cannes, France, May 24 (EFE/EPA).- Cannes is gradually recovering normality on Saturday after a five-hour massive power outage. Authorities are investigating the possibility that the blackout was intentional on the day of the city's film festival's closing gala. Since 10:00 a.m. local time (8:00 a.m. GMT), approximately 160,000 homes have been without power due to two incidents: a fire in a substation in the early morning hours and the collapse of a high-voltage line.
