Romania's presidential election re-run continues without incident
Bucharest, May 4 (EFE/EPA).- Romania's controversial rerun of its presidential election is taking place on Sunday without incident and with a slightly lower turnout than in last November's annulled elections. According to data from the electoral authority AEP, at 15.20 local time (13.20 GMT), more than a third of the nearly 18 million citizens eligible to vote had gone to the polling stations, two percentage points less than in 2024.
