Spanish, Mexican flavours to dominate Oscars exclusive dinner

Los Angeles, USA, Feb 25 (EFE).- Tequila and Iberian ham will be the stars of the Governors Ball, the official post-Oscar gala to be held in the Ray Dolby Ballroom on 2nd March. The event will feature 12 Cinco Jotas acorn-fed hams and a specialised team of master carvers to serve this Spanish delicacy. In addition to Iberian ham, the menu created by chef Wolfgang Puck includes seafood paella, spicy pad thai, beef Wellington and Chinese duck, along with gold-dusted chocolate figurines, sushi and premium wagyu beef. Puck aims to create ‘comfort food’ for the industry's biggest stars. Mexico's tequila tradition will also be highlighted with customised Don Julio cocktails inspired by the Oscars. The artisanal drinks, with flavours such as hibiscus, ancho chilli and lime, aim to live up to the elegance of Hollywood's most prestigious night. (Camera: MÓNICA RUBALCAVA).
