STORYLINE:
A rescue helicopter brought the bodies of two climbers who were killed by an avalanche on a mountain earlier in the week. to Kathmandu on Wednesday.
The remanae of a French and an Italian climber flown to a hospital in Kathmandu and taken to a morgue there.
Seven people including five foreign climbers were killed when an avalanche swept through the base camp at Mount Yalung Ri, located at 4,900 meters (16,000 feet), on Monday morning.
Eight other climbers and Nepali guides who were injured in the avalanche were flown to Kathmandu on Tuesday.
Among them were three French and five Nepali nationals.
Rescuers have been digging through snow and ice to recover the bodies.
At least three bodies were pulled out of the snow by Tuesday afternoon, police said.

“I think 9 (a.m.) in the morning and we were arguing with several people we met them on the base camp. And suddenly the snow moved and we were lucky because we were on the left. And we leap (over the) rocks and we swam along and after we were in the snow and after someone came immediately, he was free. Unfortunately, Christian died, he is a French, he is my husband and he died. It was not possible because of rocks hit his head and the other people we met them the day before in the camp base, we were in the and all died. They were interesting people. It was very sad.”
