"The circumstances became very difficult. There was no food, no transportation and the situation was very difficult even to leave home to find water or food. For me, my injury (happened) when I left home once with my water container to bring water from the water pump. A random bullet hit me and (my bones) were broken. Thanks be to God that no one from my family was with me. Most of them were killed in the shelling."

They left us with nothing, I came here barefoot, even my shoes were taken."

"There are violations that happened in el-Fasher. From here, we are announcing the formation of an investigation committee, and the announcement is not only talk. Our committees have arrived now in el-Fasher. The legal committee is now in el-Fasher. They are now staying in el-Fasher. 'They are attacking people and not allowing people to work or fulfil their duties' (referring to recent escalation). But now our committees have arrived in el-Fasher, an investigation committee should start immediately to hold any solider or officer who committed a crime or crossed their limits towards any human accountable."

STORYLINE:
Sudan's RSF paramilitary force admitted on Wednesday that "violations" had taken place in el-Fasher and said that its committees were in the city to investigate what had happened.
RSF commander General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo acknowledged what he called “violations” by his forces.
In his first comments since the fall of el-Fasher, posted on the Telegram messaging app, he said an investigation had been opened. He did not elaborate.
RSF commander Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo said: "An investigation committee should start immediately to hold any solider or officer who committed a crime or crossed their limits towards any human accountable."
